My favorite time of the school year is now!  Students come back from winter break rested and ready to learn.  My Kinders came back this week more mature, ready for routine, and missing several teeth!  I love incorporating books like these because they lend themselves so easily to great writing activities right at a time when my Kinders' writing skills are set to blossom!

  1. I teach Grade 1 and I find that they do seem to grow up in the two weeks that they are away! Love your book choices. I love Snowman at Night and will be teaching with it soon.

  2. Isn't it amazing how they change over vacation? My second graders all came back taller! I'm definitely interested in the third book: Winter is the Warmest Season. It looks delightful!

    1. It's a great book full of metaphors and the illustrations are good examples of how to use warm and cool colors. Great text for lots of standards!

  3. Those are three of my favorite winter books. I love Snowmen at Night. We do a big art project every year with inspiration from the Snowmen books. Thanks for sharing!!
