Last Thursday we celebrated our 100th Day of School!
These are a few of my students' "100 Collections."  I always love seeing how each family interprets the projects and the kids love sharing their collections with the class!

How do you celebrate the 100th Day of School?

Wordless Wednesday

It's Wordless Wednesday so I'm linking up with Miss DeCarbo and sharing a photo from my class today!

Our new play and explore centers opened today!  We had so much fun with the News Project and I was so excited to share what I had prepared for my Kinders.  Today our class Travel Agency opened for business!

I am really focusing on play and exploration along with child-centered, project based studies this year.  If you are a lower primary teacher, how do you incorporate play?  If you teach in the upper grades, what are some ways you use student choice and/or projects in your instruction?

We had such a fun time welcoming the new season at "Fall on the Farm" last Friday!  The MSU School of Agriculture always does a fantastic job setting up activities that are fun and educational for the children and families in our community.  For our class News Project my students spent the day reporting on each event to the video camera.  Next we will cut and edit our footage in the computer lab to produce our own news segment!
